An accredited coach and member of the US Professional Tennis Association, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role at Amanera. His unique six-hour academy course combines technical precision with a deep understanding of individual needs, ensuring each lesson is tailored to maximise improvement and fun. Justin is available to lead Tennis Academy sessions throughout 2024, thanks to his residency on the clay courts of Amanera.
Surf Academy
Raised near one of the Dominican Republic's best surf beaches, Junior developed a deep connection with surfing from an early age. Today, he competes at an elite level, has earned national recognition from FEDOSURF and was honoured as the Athlete of the Year in 2009. A skilled surf companion, he offers a six-hour academy course, available to athletes seeking to enhance their practice, as well as new-found novices at Amanera.
Golf Academy
Tee off at Amanera’s Golf Academy, where distinctive Dominican views are accompanied by professional coaching from the island’s most renowned golfer, Julio Santos. Whether refining your technique or new to the game, lessons are personalised to suit every skill level and followed by a nine-hole round with Julio himself.

With every new year comes the return of an extraordinary spectacle to Amanera’s waters. Thousands of humpback whales migrate in search of a mate, dotting the horizon with their graceful presence from mid-January to mid-March. Embark on a private, day-long boat tour to Samana to witness these rare, majestic creatures on their seasonal sojourn. A marine specialist joins the trip to offer insights along the way and snacks and refreshments are included.
